Thanksgiving

Enter into his gates with Thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise; be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the Lord is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations. KJV Psalm 100: 4&5

This is a lovely psalm. His mercy is everlasting. Some days we just need to be reminded of that!

so often we forget to be thankful for what we have received in the past. to think we only take one day out of the year to give thanks. most only give thanks for the material goods they have acquired, their wealth. shouldn't thanksgiving be a daily event? are we not thankful for the senses that we are born with? to be able to see what God has made, to hear the sounds of life, to be able to touch, to be able to sing the praises of our blessings and most of all to be able to give and receive love. for what would man be without love?

Dear Lord, i thank you with all my heart for my eyes which can see the sun that rises in the morning, that i can feel the warmth upon my face, my hands to reach out and help another in need, my ears that hear the sweet singing of the creatures you have created and mostly for my heart. with which i can share the love which you gave me with all that i come in touch with. Amen.
